Printing Industry to Create Smart Manufacturing Ecosystem

On June 24th, the printing industry intelligent manufacturing training course (second phase), organized by the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, was closed at Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication.

Luo Yan, headmaster of the Beijing Institute of Graphic Arts, gave lectures on the theme of "smart manufacturing and the "One Belt and One Road" printing and packaging business going global strategy". He said that under the national environment, the smart manufacturing of the printing industry is imperative, and human resources are one of the difficulties. In the future, the school will cultivate more professional talents in smart manufacturing, and will contribute more power for printing companies to go out along the “One Belt and One Road” and develop the industry.

Chen Bang, director of the Printing Machinery Branch of the China Printing and Equipment Equipment Industry Association, said that promoting the intelligentization of printing companies is a complex process. The core issue is the integration of the two, namely the integration of equipment digitization and software automation. This urgently requires a group of intelligent talents as support to promote the rapid implementation of smart manufacturing applications.

According to Qi Yuansheng, Dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, at present, the State has issued guidelines for the construction of a smart manufacturing standardization system, which requires a standardized system architecture in terms of system level, intelligence functions, and life cycle. The printing industry can combine the characteristics of the industry for standardization and build an intelligent manufacturing ecosystem.

More than 30 participants from all over the country participated in the training and received a certificate of completion. During the three-day training class, the organizers invited industry experts to give lectures on big data, artificial intelligence, and intelligent blockchain technology applications, and led the students to visit the Beijing Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing and Smart Printing Labs.
