UV Printing Is What Kind Of Process, What Is The Difference Between Ordinary Printing ?
Apr 04, 2018

UV printing is a printing process that uses ultraviolet light to dry and cure inks. It requires inks containing photosensitizers to work with UV curing lamps. The application of UV printing is one of the most important contents of the printing industry.

Difference between UV printing and ordinary printing:

1. UV printing ink consumption and the traditional four-color process printing is equivalent: UV ink less waste.

2. The widely spread European experience shows that the average production output should be similar to the traditional way with best practices (configuration of UV solids, ink and varnish chemistry, and correct operating techniques). The overall energy cost of UV production in Shanghai is similar to the same printer configuration with infrared and hot air dryers. The test results show that the power consumption of UV lamps is 30% lower than that of infrared/hot air drying (calculated using German energy prices). Starting UV lamps require more energy than IR emitters that do not have to trigger the start, UV lamps typically have higher kW rates than infrared transmitters.
